How Order Processing Works: Apliiq Warehouse

How Order Processing Works For Warehousing

Idea
Apliiq Warehousing is setup to optimize order processing for warehouse orders, print on demand orders, and combined orders.

Order Processing For Warehouse Orders

By default, Apliiq will route your warehouse orders according to the following rules.  From time to time exceptions are made.
  1. Orders that contain merch items will be assigned to the facility that has inventory available.  If more than one facility has inventory available, the order will be assigned to the closest facility to the customer's shipping address (reduce shipping cost and time).
  2. If the order also contains print on demand items, those items will be made at the same facility and the order will be shipped once. (reduce shipping expenses)
  3. If an order contains a product that does not have inventory it will be recorded as a pending order and processed when inventory becomes available.
  4. If orders are pending for multiple out of stock items, Apliiq will continue to process and fulfill as many orders as soon as possible.  It will not "hold" inventory for previous orders that cannot be fulfilled due to multiple missing items.

Out of stock warehouse items;

Depending on your store configuration, you may allow customers to purchase inventory you don't have.   These orders will be recorded as pending orders within your orders tab and displayed as pending within your warehouse tab.  Once inventory is received by our warehouse team, we will automatically process all of your pending orders that are awaiting that inventory.
Alert
Apliiq urges sellers to be cautious in these scenarios and to always set good expectations regarding timing with your customers.

pending ordersWarehouse orders that don't have sufficient inventory will be placed into your pending orders tab.

If your order contains merch products that you don't have available inventory for, the order will be placed on your pending orders tab.
    1. You can chose to have the item made on demand, if it's linked to a saved design in your Apliiq account
    2. You can send in more inventory.  Once Apliiq receives it, you will be able to process the order utilizing your inventory.
