How to Create and Publish Print-on-Demand Products

Setting up print-on-demand products on Apliiq allows you to create custom products, publish them to your store, and fulfill orders automatically as they come in. This guide walks you through the setup process from start to finish.

Before You Start

Before setting up your products, make sure you have:
  1. An active Apliiq account
  2. A connected ecommerce store or custom store
  3. Product artwork or design files ready to upload
  4. A clear idea of which product types you want to sell

Step 1: Connect Your Store

To begin selling print-on-demand products, you’ll first need to connect your store to the Apliiq platform.
  1. Log in to your Apliiq account.
  2. Go to the Stores section.
  3. Select your ecommerce platform.
  4. Follow the prompts to connect your store
Once your store is connected, you’ll be able to sync products and send orders to production automatically.

Step 2: Choose a Product

  1. Open the Product Catalog.
  2. Browse available product styles.
  3. Choose the item you want to sell.
  4. Review available sizes, colors, and product details.
Pick a product that matches your brand and design goals. You can create multiple products later.

Step 3: Add Your Design

Once you’ve selected a product, upload your artwork and place it on the product.
  1. Click Customize to start designing.
  2. Upload your artwork file.
  3. Position the design on the product.
  4. Adjust the size and placement as needed.
  5. Preview the design on all selected product colors.
For best results, use high-resolution artwork with a transparent background when needed.

Step 4: Configure Product Options

After your design is placed, set up the product options your customers will see.

This usually includes:
  1. Product title
  2. Description
  3. Available sizes
  4. Available colors
  5. Pricing
  6. Product images or mockups
Make sure your title and description are clear, accurate, and aligned with your brand voice.

Step 5: Add to Store & Set Your Retail Price

  1. Click Next & add to store.
  2. Review the base cost of the product.
  3. Confirm your expected profit margin.
A good pricing strategy should cover production costs while leaving enough margin for your business.

Step 6: Review Mockups and Product Details In Your Store

Once you've added the product to your store, you can click the link to see the product in your store and continue to finalize the listing and set the product live.

Step 7: Test the Ordering Flow (for first time users)

If you are just getting started with Apliiq, it's worthwhile to quickly place a test order in your store to ensure everything is working properly.  Simply navigate to your store, add your product to cart, and checkout.  You should see the order show up  in your Apliiq orders page, from there you can simply cancel the order.
