How to Place a Test Order with Wix + Apliiq

How to Place a Test Order with Wix + Apliiq

If you want to test your store setup before going live, you can place a test order through your Wix storefront and send it to your Apliiq account. Follow the steps below to ensure the order properly syncs.

1. Install the Wix Stores App

Before testing orders, make sure your Wix site has Wix Stores installed.

  1. Go to your Wix Dashboard.

  2. Click Apps.

  3. Search for Wix Stores.

  4. Install the app if it is not already installed.

Wix Stores is required because it manages your products, checkout, and orders.

2. Activate Manual Payments

To place a test order without using a real payment method, enable Manual Payments.

  1. In your Wix Dashboard, go to Settings.

  2. Click Accept Payments.

  3. Enable Manual Payment (sometimes listed as Offline Payment).

  4. Save your settings.

This allows you to place a test order without processing a real payment.

3. Place a Test Order on Your Website

Next, place an order directly from your storefront.

  1. Visit your live Wix website.

  2. Add one of your Apliiq products to the cart.

  3. Go through the checkout process.

  4. Select Manual Payment as the payment method.

  5. Complete the order.

The order will now appear in your Wix Orders dashboard, but it will not yet sync to Apliiq.

4. Mark the Order as Paid

Orders are only sent to Apliiq after they are marked as paid in Wix.

  1. Go to your Wix Dashboard.

  2. Click Orders.

  3. Open the test order you just placed.

  4. Click Mark as Paid.

5. Order Syncs to Your Apliiq Account

Once the order is marked as paid:

  • The order will automatically sync to your Apliiq account.

  • Apliiq will begin processing the order according to your fulfillment settings.

Tip:
If you are only testing, you may want to cancel the order afterward in Wix or in your Apliiq dashboard to prevent it from being produced.
