Apliiq x WooCommerce x SiteGround Installation Guide

We are excited to begin working with you to get your store up and running.  As you are probably aware, selling your clothing brand directly to consumers is a great way to get started.  It provides so many benefits, like reducing the risk and funding required to start your own clothing line and the joy of working directly with your customers.

WooCommerce & SiteGround Hosting

Currently our WooCommerce app is live for SiteGround hosting.  

Please note that WooCommerce and the Wordpress platform can be hosted and customized extensively and we have not tested the app with all possible hosting and configuration settings.  Also please note that we are not experts in all configurations and hosting arrangements of WooCommerce and Wordpress and you will need to take the lead on identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues with your specific configuration.

We have completed our testing using  SiteGround as the hosting provider for WooCommerce and highly recommend using them to host your website.  We have found them to be cost effective and reliable provider for hosting and we are most familiar with their configuration.  Start your SiteGround account today.

Not Currently Using Siteground For Hosting?

If you already have a WooCommerce store, but you aren't currently using SiteGround, we understand it can seem daunting to switch to a new hosting provider.  The good news here is that moving to Siteground is a lot simpler and easier than you may think.  We recommend checking out All in One WP Migration app, which lets you export your entire site from your current hosting provider and import it into a new Siteground website.  This tool makes it simple to switch hosting providers without having to re-setup your site.

How to Install The WooCommerce App

1. Login to your Apliiq account and click this link.  The link will take you to a page to enter your store URL.   You must enter your entire store url including https://.  An example of a correct url is: https://www.yourstoredomain.com.
   
2. After you submit your store URL, you will be prompted to login to your WooCommerce store.  Complete the login.
   
   
3. Next you will be prompted to grant the Apliiq permissions for your WooCommerce store.  Approve the permissions requested.
   
   
4. After you have granted permissions to Apliiq you will be redirected back to the Apliiq Dropshipping page within your Apliiq account to finalize your settings.
   
5. Congrats, you have successfully installed the WooCommerce BETA app!  Please proceed to the Dropshipping Getting Started Guide to review and completed all setup tasks prior to launching your store.
   

Additional Requirements

1. In order for the app to work properly, it is required that you have a valid SSL certificate installed on your website.
   
2. WooCommerce doesn't have out of the box support for tracking.  You must install a tracking app.

Troubleshooting & Support

After finishing the WooCommerce plugin installation, Apliiq Strongly recommends our Woo partners download and install the Apliiq Print on Demand plugin for your Wordpress website.  

The plugin essentially functions as an admin setup assistant that checks whether the store is ready to connect with Apliiq. It validates WooCommerce availability, SSL, REST API access, API credential presence, Apliiq webhook configuration, recommended measurement units, TLS 1.2 support, shipment tracking plugin availability, server compatibility, and recent local diagnostic events.

This plugin is intended to help identify possible communications issues with your unique Wordpress environment.

Common Errors & Possible Solutions

"errors":[{"code":"woocommerce_api_authentication_error","message":"Invalid Signature - provided]

Solution:  This error usually happens when your WordPress site has redirects. Like from  http://mydomain.com  to  https://mydomain.com  or from  http://www.mydomain.com  to  http://mydomain.com . To avoid this please make sure you put your end domain into the url* input box when installing your store.

{"errors":[{"code":"woocommerce_api_authentication_error","message":"Consumer Key is missing"}]}

Solution:  This error is usually because of a caching plugin that is caching the Woocommerce REST API endpoints. To stop this happening please make sure that caching is turned off for the Woocommerce REST API endpoints.

{"errors":[{"code":"woocommerce_api_authentication_error","message":"API user is invalid"}]}

This kind of error normally means that the user who made the API credentials when you first connected your Woocommerce site has been removed from your WordPress site. This means when we try to connect to your site we no longer have authenticated access.  You will need to re-install the app, so we can create a new set of API credentials.
