Inventory states

Incoming -  Incoming inventory is inventory that is on it's way to the Apliiq warehouse.  You can create incoming inventory by setting up a shipment within Apliiq warehouse.  Once your inventory is received at the warehouse, your incoming inventory will be reduced and your on hand inventory will be increased.  You also have the option to "count" incoming inventory as on hand inventory, so you can being to sell it (presale) before it's been received into your warehouse.

On Hand - On hand inventory is the physical number of inventory stored within the Apliiq warehouse.  On hand inventory counts are sync'd to your Shopify store once "sync inventory" is activated.

Available -  Available inventory is inventory that is available for sale.  Available inventory includes all On hand inventory less, your safety stock and your open and pending orders.

Safety - Safety stock is quantity that you want to "set aside" so it's not available for sale.  This can be helpful for a variety of business scenarios, like holding stock for a photoshoot, or for an upcoming event.

Open Orders -  Open orders are orders that are in the process of being fulfilled.  Once orders are shipped out, your on hand inventory is reduced and your open orders are closed out.

Pending Orders -  Pending orders are orders that you have received, but cannot yet be fulfilled, typically because you don't have stock available.

Notes
It's worth noting that your Open + Pending is equal to your Committed inventory within Shopify.
